Watching my 2 month old nephew, aniq sleeping calmly on me made me forget all the problems in the world. Whenever i cuddle him, he will always let out a cute sigh and off to dream wonderland with ponies, rainbows and fluffy kittens.
First time in Paddington House of Pancake! Love love love the food! If ure nuts about pancakes, this is the place for you. Please take your time to study the types of pancakes before you order, or you'll get confused with the menu, spaghetti pancakes or Cheeseburger with pancakes? Worth the try!
everybody talks about the new year 2010 but seldom people mention about Maal Hijrah or Awal Muharram, the new year based on the Islamic calendar. they talk about plans for the new years eve, what to do 1st of January, their new year's resolution and so on. i've realized that i've been doing the same for the past years and not appreciating much about the new year of 1431H.
therefore, i did my prayers, and cite the 'doa' that my dear friend, Zaza posted on her status in facebook (thanks zaza!) and wish that everything will be good until another new year drops by. InsyaAllah. I must admit, i did pray to Allah SWT for all his blessings to my family and friends, but most of all is someday, for me and hubby to have our own child. I told myself the past year that i'm not ready and there was a little bit doubt in my heart about my capabilities nurturing a delicate little child into a fully successful grown up in this world where there are always bad news highlighted in newspapers and on tv.
i think i'm ready. but then again, it's all up to Allah SWT to blessed me with one. and i hope my dear friends will pray for us too.
This post was suppose to be yesterday but my phone went dead and the post was auto deleted. Meh. Our long weekend filled with loads of stuff, weddings, swimming, babysitting baby aniq, and driving around putrajaya. My sis brought us to a really nice public park located a bit far from the central putrajaya and it was breath taking! So much of staying at nearby cyberjaya and we never notice there are hidden gems such this waiting to be explored. Planned to go for a jog sometime next week. (or maybe a quick honeymoon at the nearby Pullman hotel. hmm.. hehe)
Went to central market to get a new black hoodie and we happend to pass by a lil cute fish therapy booth. Cant help to try it out coz its only 5 bucks for 10 mins! Its not the type with plastic pond and stools, it was nicely set up with calm atmosphere kind of feeling with wooden bench and flowers. We tried at my mom's fountain pond with smaller fishies but nothing compared to the ones here! We cant stop laughing and it triggers curiosity with more and more people and tourists wanted to tried it out. It was a good stress relieve therapy. Will definitely go again to laugh and giggle with no jokes needed!
My brother in law, Pai had a wedding last weekend at my in laws in Sening, Kota Tinggi. Knowing that there will be a plenty of relatives coming, we assume it was going to a be a full house. Hubby suggested that we stayed at Desaru instead and have a quick weekend holiday in between washing the dishes and meeting the relatives.
So a week before that, i've been searching for a good hotel in Desaru. It was difficult! I know Desaru is no longer the 'hype' beach that everybody are talking about nowadays but come on..plenty of hotels and none of them have a proper website! sheesh!
I stumble upon a blog that mention about a refurbished hotel called Lotus Desaru. It was Impiana Hotel before but they changed the management and refurbish almost everything! Browse the website but it seems that its under construction fine..so we just gambled and head straight to Desaru without any proper hotel bookings (which is so not me).
After 1 1/2 hours of driving from Johor Bharu, the first hotel appeard on the entrance of Desaru was Lotus Desaru! yeay! So i told hubby to check out the price and maybe we should spend the night there since it looks clean and new. We were surprised that they are having a promotion rate now and all of the rooms are based on studio suites! 1 to 4 bedrooms! Ours was RM207 per night (as it was a Saturday) but the receptionist told us that weekdays is only RM184. For a one bed room studio suite, it was worth it! I'm not sure when the promotion ends though.
It was a great weekend, Desaru is well known for its super evil waves and we went swimming late afternoon around 5'ish and the waves actually knocked us over! All of us shrieked and excited as the waves went up high and pushed us towards the beach. Awesomeness! I can't remember when was the last time i had fun at the beach, even Phuket trip was not as awesome as this!
So let the pretty pictures do the talking will ya?
2 months to end of 2009. Been busy..open houses, weddings and my brother's newborn baby boy Aniq Muzaffar! What did we do today? Watched Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs with hubby, Along, Yusuf and Yahya. Funny stuff! Cant imagine if nasi lemak or roti canai fall from the sky! Had lunch a Senjyu Sushi, a bit pricey though but dont matter coz the unagi sushi is huge! Had a pot of flower tea that blooms. :-)
can't believe Ramadhan is ending...why everything seems to be in a rush! halp!
anyways. its 3.00am..still awake and by 7am we are off to Kota Tinggi, Johor. This is my first time celebrating the first day of Eid with my in laws..so i hope everything goes well. I'm sure its going to be different!
to everyone, have a safe journey..take care and i'm off for the whole week! weeee!~
Gosh..its near September..how time flew so fast and towards the end of the year. Things nowadays is busy busy busy..I'm here at home..did the laundry, clean up the house and doing what most housewives do..(except to the husband of course, its the holy time of the month..so its a big no no to do it during the day! ^_^) Saturdays are officially off now..and i need to pack our stuff to head to my mom's for the first 'buka puasa' of the month!
Because of u idiots we spent 2 1/2 hours in a freaking traffic. To those wannabes bastards prostesting to the ISA shit, u guys are fools! Be thankful that our country is peaceful! Just let us go through to the Search concert! Argh! Note: the idiot in red in the pic above cowardly ran from FRU, but when we yelled Go home! all of a sudden he went all mighty and yelled back. Bodoh.
It's 9.35pm and we are chilling in our upgraded room. They told us that the deluxe room are all fully booked so they upgraded ours to a room with a personal computer for free! (we purchased our package about a month ago) . They only allow 2 hours of free internet though.
Bandung is superb. We ate Sundanese food and it is super duper delicious! I thought it was a buffet spread but all you need to do is to choose your 'lauk' or the stuff that you want with your rice and they will cook it for you. good stuff.
Can't wait for tomorrow's shopping trip!
Above pic is the hotel's rooftop swimming pool. Geared up earlier to take a dip but they closed early for the water treatment. Meh.
The spa package is super cheap! couple's package of 2 1/2 hours massage is only RM165! awesomeness!!!!
oh ya, colleague texted me earlier this morning and told me i got the highest marks for the Train the Trainer exams! hurray! ;)
It sucks when all of the excitement to board on the plane tomorrow morning for a holiday that you've planned for months was ruined by 2 freaking idiots. These people i swear in my whole life that i will not admit them as part of my family ever in my life.
fuck it, i'll board the plane and think about my lovely 4 days therapy.
2 weeks to August 2009! Search is currently on their final tour throughout Malaysia and the final concert will be on 1st August at Bukit Kiara. Since its like so near to my mom's will definitely go!
Me and hubby grew up with their songs since when we were little. I remember my brother sang Isabella in his room and tune up his guitar and strum the Fenomena song. Every karaoke session, hubby will always sing a Search number. Rumors said that this will be their final concert.... so sad :( For sure, we can't miss the legendary Malaysian rock band for their final awesome concert ever!
Thinking of buying the tickets online, but since we can only redeem the tickets the day before the concert at the venue, it is so troublesome. Called the organizers and will get the tickets tomorrow at KLCC. Can't wait!!
Update: Bought the tix!!! The ugly part is, we still have to redeem the tix at the booth on the concert day. Meh. What kind of stupid idea is this?
Buuuulaaaan maduuu di awaaan biruuuu...tiaaada yaang mengaaangguuuu!! yeah!
Finally.. after few months searching for the best traveling backpack (and a Tote bag for me) for our trip to Bandung and other trips to come, we bought ourselves Crumpler bags! Last weekend, after watching Ice Age 3 at KLCC, we went inside several shops and was disappointed with the designs for most of the backpacks. The designs were damn ugly for a RM500 backpack! We passed the Crumpler store on the way back and went inside to take a look and feel in love with the design of Crumpler's King Single backpack.
It was a bit pricey but hey..you want good design, you have to pay more! I guess hubby felt a bit guilty of buying the bag for himself so he asked whether i need anything from Crumpler. For a typical lady who loves bags, being offered whether she needs a new one, of course i said yes! After looking at several designs, i chose Crumpler's Medium Headaitch. The price? a bit cheaper than the King Single of course and this is the second most expensive bag that he ever bought for me (the first one was for my wedding gift :P ). At least this one is huge enough to place my jacket and knickknacks. I constantly asked whether its okay, he told me that i always bought cheap bags which doesn't last long and kept on buying new ones..at the end the month, it cost a few hundred bucks!. If its fine for him, i'd better just shut up. Hehe.
We can't wait for our trip to Bandung on the 24th. Although we have to go through with all of the last minute trainings till the end of the month, that will not stop me from being excited for the trip! Will have to remind myself to buy masks and hand sanitizer gel for the precaution of H1N1 disease. 8 days to go!
We received a really good news earlier today, the big boss finally gave a green light for Saturdays off! Hurray!
Its been a year. On the 5th of July 2008, me and him were officially husband and wife. Time flew so fast i didn't realized that its been a year already! Well, what did we do on our anniversary? Instead of having a typical dinner, flowers or cakes or whatever, we went for a spa treat! Hubby complained about his aching back so he instantly agreed.
The spa that we went to is just 5 mins from our home. Why bother to drive all the way to other states when you got something great near you! Sembunyi Spa is located at Cyberview Lodge, Cyberjaya. Went there last month with my dear colleagues to celebrate her leaving the workplace. Yup! we celebrated cause she was all happy leaving the place after 7 years of working. Haha. They told us about the couple package so i kept thinking of bringing him sometime. So there! booked an appointment and set to go!
Our appointment was at 1pm and we arrived there sometime around 12.30'ish. They told us to get ready and use any of the facilities first and the treatment will start at 1.45pm. We chose couple's package 'Butterfly Kisses' that consists of 90 mins Balinese Massage and Facial or Body Scrub. Since i did my body treatment (Scrub and Clay Body Mask) last month, so i chose Facial instead while he preferred having a Scrub a Dub Dub (That's what they name it).
We went into the spa area, with warm bubbly jacuzzi that can fit 10 people in it, Sauna and Steam Room. Unfortunately, the spa areas are separated for both genders. Oh well. There were not many people in there, so i got the jacuzzi all by myself since the other two females went for their treatment in the private rooms. So it's basically heaven on earth! I tried the ice cold dip pool next to the jacuzzi, at first i thought its going to be slightly cold but nope, just imagine you dip your whole body into a pool filled with icecubes. Yup. I went in and became a popsicle. Note to myself : Do Not Dip In That Pool No More.
The price..is a wee bit expensive but its all worth it. The massage was good, the facial was yummy (they used yogurt, honey and chinese almonds for mask and scrub) and they did a thing called 'stepping' where they walk on your back and massage by foot. I refused but hubby requested. He heard his shoulders cracking. Haha. To cut it short, after everything done, we plunged into the pool and felt like it was our own backyard pool, nobody was using it except us!
We didn't bring our cameras so i googled. Found some pictures and posted here. Didn't manage to find pictures on the jacuzzi area though. Will definitely bring one next time! All in all, it was great. Thank you sayang for the spa treat. Love you!
Viruses are everywhere now. From the past few years, from chicken flu to mad cow and now swine flu or known as H1N1. The last news i heard, 11 cases identified in Malaysia and the ones infected were foreigners and locals who just came back from overseas. I'm a bit worried..we've planned to travel to Bandung in Indonesia next month and i hope that when the time comes, the virus will be gone.
Not only viruses though, the haze are coming back! The quality of the air in most capital cities are getting worst by days. Jogging in the park? not a good idea of getting healthy nowadays...should get a treadmill and watch True Blood in the living room would be a better option. My colleague is transferring to Botswana next week and i told him good for you! at least there are no heatwave there! they are approaching winter which is way much better than being here in Malaysia.
Those things makes me wonder, is our earth getting weaker by the minute? what is my contribution in making it better?
It's going to be hectic!! The assignment markings is only for a week! tons of work to do but yet i'm damn lazy. T_T
Congratulations to Ila & Daous, Eiaa & Udin for their newborn baby boy!! Gosh, everybody is getting pregnant and babies are everywhere! haha! For my girlfriends back in highschool, out of 6 of us, i'm the only one who is still enjoying the honeymoon period. Iqin, Seed and Ila enjoying every bits of mommyhood with their baby boys, Watie is still in progress waiting for the day to come and Intan just told the news few days ago. Its okay girls, i'll let you guys bake the oven first, when the day comes, my baby will be the youngest of all! haha!
I hope the mommies will make it to Ila's 'Aqiqah' celebration tomorrow, can't wait to see mommies and babies in action! (so that i can get a few tips to prepare). ^_^
its towards the end of may now. 1 minute passed while i'm typing this. and i still can't believe that we are heading June already! the semester passed like a blink of an eye..and i don't think i deliver my knowledge like what i used to. is it because of time? or maybe unsatisfactory towards this place?
tons of 'plans' that needs execution but it seems after the whole day of squeezing out the juices from my brain i would rather stay at home and play 'Indiana Jones' Lego on my PSP.
while reading design related articles for the weekly read & research programme, i realize that i did not do things that i want to. i am working for the sake of money not interest. i want to be out there sketching my brains out for ideas (for myself i mean..as i ALWAYS sketch ideas for the kids). I want to scrap woods and spray paint for mock ups and for all that..
i need a space! both hubby and i need our own workshop. *sigh. the luxury of living in a condominium.. and to think of it, being minimalism is not such a good idea really.
i'm off. not a good day to blog. the kids are swarming me for submissions.
If you were born in the 80s you will know this song. Try to sing it when you are out for karaoke session. Practice! ^_^
things that bugs me:
what's with the name Snow? Maybe because he's white?
the part when he was behind the bars, he looks like Beecher from OZ
based on the song he sang, i think he's good in tongue twisters

My hubby told me that previous entry in malay is very 'kaku'. Fine, i admit that i can't really write in malay (rolled eyes). Hey, at least i got an A1 in malay language for my SPM okay! Hmmm...to think of it, what he said might be true. Since that was nearly 10 years ago, I need to enrol in MPW2113 Bahasa Kebangsaan A a.s.a.p! Eh, did i get the code correct?
The above is on the Embankment area and the next one is at Trasfalgar Square. London is known for the area of not having a thick snow for you to build your huge snowman or even throw snowballs to your friends. It's been ages since the last time snow stormed the London city. It was around 18 years ago based on the facts here.
I was in London in year 2004 and 2005. I only experienced snow once in the morning but it quickly melt after an hour. So not so much of a snow experience living in London.
2009 changed the history. London is full of snow! Personally, i felt a bit jealous but after experiencing winter in London before, it is not all pure beautiful and lovely. The aftermath of snow is a disaster. Slippery sidewalks, freaking freezing and sloppy puddles on the road which splashes right on you when an inconsiderate driver just drive merrily through it.
Well, the puddle thing happens in Malaysia as well but to temperature of the water? just imagine 7 eleven's slurpee being thrown to your face. Yup.
Hubby is back. So relieved. I'm just glad that he's back safely. :)
Hubby is still on his replacement leave and hanging out at my parent's while i'm here at the office attending trainings and meetings. ergh.
on other things
I would love to have this shelves in our home, since we recently bought a total of 6 books in one day! record breaking!
Our new favourite weekend hotspot would be a cute lil bookstore in Amcorp Mall which i can't remember its name..was too excited browsing the books since it is so damn cheap! a brand new novel will only cost you only RM9.90 to RM19.90! superb!
