Today is me mom's birthday. Gosh, she's 64 already. Still strong in terms of shopping and wandering around shopping malls. Hehe.
Went to Maya's boutique at Pertama Complex to take my kebaya and off to Reject Shop and bought some stuffs. It's been ages since the last time i stepped into the store and i end up buying nearly rm200 worth of goods. haha.
I'm treating her a dinner at Ole Ole Bali, Solaris Mont Kiara tonight with dad and my brother. I've asked her so many times if she wanted anything for her birthday and she told me she's too old for birthdays
"I dont like celebrating birthdays, getting older is not something that i'm proud of but i'm glad that Allah let me be alive until today and hopefully more years to come" she said
Since i have nothing to do in the holidays, other than catching up my tv series and entertaining my darling nephews, I came across with this site Tilt-Shilf Maker and had fun playing around with it.
I've always loved miniature models like the stuff they put in dollhouses, a bowl of ramen, little tiny cup with coffee and a tiny tuna sandwich that looked so real you probably wanted to eat it.
Something like thisand this
Always amazed at people who can model tiny teeny cityscapes and houses made by clay or other materials and managed to make it looked so real. Well, since everything we can achieve by a photo plus some effects applied on it, we can have a photography of everything miniature look-a- like. Here are some pictures that i've experimented. Done quite a few but i think not all pictures came out right.
An awesome photographer by the name of Keith Loutit also managed to use the real lens (not edited) and compiled to make it looked like a live miniature world. Go here (it's worth it!)
Thinking of doing some chores but all of a sudden i felt that this is the most suckiest festive break of my life. Most of the people at work was forced to be on leave from Saturday till Wednesday next week. It sucked. Usually, i would be grateful because hey you don't have to come to work. This time, nope. I just wish that i can come to the office and do work so that the time goes by so quick, hoping for 31st January 2009 to come sooner.
Me and hubby planned to go back to Kota Tinggi, hubby's hometown tomorrow. We've planned it for quite some time. Its been 3 months since the last time we've seen them. Sadly, it's all being canceled as they chose hubby to go to Lesotho for bloody 2 weeks. I'm happy that he's traveling and all but the time is not right. This is the only break before the semester starts and yet i have to spend it alone without him. I'm sure hubby is missing his family like crazy plus his darling nephew, Alif is turning 1 years old on 25th January. The family had planned to have a birthday party and can't wait for us to come back but nope, they have to celebrate without us first. Don't worry Alif! we will bring you gifts and a large cake the following week!
I miss you like crazy here, hubby. The 5 day break meant nothing to me without you here.
Went to birdpark yesterday with yusuf, yahya and my sister. When was the last time ive stepped into the bird paradise? It might be 15 years ago? Other than the school trip u wont be bothered to go to tourist places since your mind kept telling, we can still go anytime that we like because we are always here. The place is great, well kept, the birds are beautiful and fed with fresh food and water and they were no rubbish scattering around! It is a great place to bring a date as well ;-). Compared to ostrich farm in pd, that place is hell for the pity animals. They kept bunnies in one small cage without proper cleaning and just dump the dry food in a plastic box. Felt sorry for them.
Arrived at the legend water chalet. We are now lazing around, ordered room service and treating ourselves before all of those headaches coming in february. The room is superb, we just want to sit around and read a book on the day bed.
Nothing much to report though, it's just lately i've been waking up very late and end up at work very very late as well. Not good for 2009. *sigh
Lately, me and hubby been sleeping late. What did we do? He as usual updating his blog and browse his favorite youtube videos and downloading grindcore songs from the net. For me, i would rather catch up with my favourite tv series and lately i've been watching Gilmore Girls season 7 and end up watching 3 to 4 dvds with up to 7 episodes per dvd from 7.30pm to 2.30am.
I can't wait to get the OZ series! 6 seasons, plenty of episodes and i'm sure hubby will loveeeee it. Finally some TV series that we can watch together, right? (after all of those comments about why i love desperate housewives)
We planned for a quick getaway before the dreadful semester starts in february. Somewhere near and nice ( i think).
Ive always wanted to dine at the lawn klcc. The cupcakes are all pretty! Here we are on sunday having chicken sandwich and beef pie celebrating the purchase of hubby's long lost treasure, Choosing Death by Albert Mudrian.
